Kiosk occupies a sliver of space barely wider than its counter, wedged into the streetscape. It’s four square metres of goodness and, for the biker, it couldn’t be easier to park and pop in, out rather, and get a shot for the road.
From the pavement, the first thing that catches the eye is colour. It’s an unapologetic collision of bright pink walls, turquoise shelving, deep red and electric blue trim.
Inside, every inch earns its place. The coffee itself remains at the centre of the story. Bags of Kiosk Espresso sit proudly on open shelves rather than hidden away, displayed almost like gallery pieces against the pink backdrop. They add another splash of colour to an already vibrant space.
I ordered an Americano and chatted to the two friendly baristas while I was there. There’s plenty of seating and a welcoming atmosphere.
Kiosk feels closer to the traditional espresso bars of Europe than the modern coffee lounges that dominate many city centres.
